Are there any other literary concepts like Vampires with a cool spanning mythos that can be interpreted many different ways?

Mephistopheles/Faustian bargain.
I love that House Always Wins trope. Always brings the most sinister yet classy crisp aesthetics.

What sort of robot mythos is there? Besides, robots are either just golems/underground workers, or they're ripoffs of alchemical Homunculi.

The modern interpretation of vampires as human beings struggling with a curse is overdone and uninteresting to me.
I’ve been thinking about writing vampires in a way closer to their classical interpretation: a perversion of life, something that used to be whole and is now nothing more than an empty shell grotesquely mimicking humanity; going through the motions while guided only by endless hunger, egotism and depravity.
Can anyone recommend books that portray vampires this way?
