I find it to be one of the better "fascist" books but I still cringe when people are too obsessed with Codreanu and the Iron Guard (Im romanian). You could give it a read and Im sure youd like it if youre reactionary even if you dislike the third reich.

It's a moving human story, what more do you need to get? There are plenty of things beyond my scope (localities, etc) but it's irrelevant to the overall story. Like a modern day Greek tragedy. Incredible story.
