There's never been a bigger chad in literature. He was so dedicated to his craft he was executed for it.
His last words were:
>They won't let me finish!

I love his similes in the Red Cavalry short stories. The language of a poet.

>He has been acclaimed as "the greatest prose writer of Russian Jewry"
Yeah, I think I'll pass on that, anon.

I find his Odessa stories even more poetic.

I think it’s a based surname “Babel”.

It brings to mind the image of humanity trying to reach the nest of God himself, and the fury of divinity turning the stones and mortar to foam, while at the same time all minds were pollinated by their own and unique language. Thousands of souls being remodeled into unheard off tongues.

It’s an alchemy of ambition, reason and the artifacts of reason, Divine anger and an exuberant jungle of linguistic chaos.

Shakespeare could very well be the owner of such a surname.

That's very insightful anon. I wish that Babel could've had the time to write even half as much as Shakespeare. Everything he did write while he was alive was superb, what could have been accomplished if only he were allowed to finish.
