Pre-Socratics. But since nothing but fragments from them remain you can't start with them and can never gain a true understanding of philosophy.

Don't -- just read whatever you want

Starting with Greeks is retarded. Read them later.

If you’re legit new to reading you shouldn’t start with ancient philosophy and epic poems. Do some research and decide what’s interesting to you. Don’t do too much research that you go into books with preconceived ideas tho, jump in and take what you can

Plato > Aristotle > Parmenides/Heraclitus > other presocratics that interest you > optional but recommended: Stoics/Epicureans > The Light and the Cave by Arthur Hermann. Then choose where you want to go next. I recommend German Idealism but after you should start on modern philosophy like Analytic or Continental.

You don't have to read their whole bibliography. Just read enough to get their metaphysics.

Depending on how old you are, you should start with a book that is close to your own taste. If you like fantasy, so go with the kind of fantasy you like but on books, and so on.
The greeks are a truly valuable source of knowledge and education, within our occidental work; nonetheless, they are worthless insofar most of what they said were wrong. There is just a few things concerning the greeks that are still relevant, but you wouldn't be capable to extract them from the books, since they require a lot of extra knowledge.
So far so good, the earlier you start your lit journey, the early your singular lit experiences will appear.

This book also encompasses almost of 1000 pages of the western philosophy and has gotten good feedback if you feel reading one book instead of 30. I have it, it is good
