This sucked. I just got done reading Bronze Age Mindset which was great and had this recommended to me. There's just nothing endearing about a millenial teetotaler spouting edgy takes. He's not very funny. His takes aren't smart, new or interesting.

He comes off as insecure, needing to remind you he eats clean, exercises, has friends and has money. It's some of the cringiest shit I've read in ages.

Listen nigger, I'll give you the quick rundown right now. I went to high school with Mike Mahoney. He's not smart and nothing he writes will ever be novel or new. He does have a certain sense of humor in a weird way which is what he tries to showcase in this book. The problem is that he also tries to make moral and philosophical judgements and he's way too stupid to do something like that in an interesting way. He became Vine famous because his sense of humor transferred well to vine and then he turned his Vine fame into Twitter fame and inevitably fell into the Frog Twitter side. He's literally a Tiktok fag 5 years early who wrote a book with great cover art to make up for the shitty actual content of the book.

Empty-headed rich kids writing teen slasher novels and thinking they're being profound. Bret Easton Ellis' influence has been a disaster, overall.

I've said it elsewhere, but the other teens who realize the slasher flicks are just an excuse to get in your girlfriend's pants after a Friday night at the movies have a more realistic and healthier sense of the genre.

Let me put it to you this way, OP. Any author not working with a traditional publishing team is already at a huge disadvantage. I've read the book. It's filled with sections that could've been removed entirely. I found multiple instances of formatting errors, typos, grammatical mistakes, etc. To make things even more dire, with content of this nature, you can't exactly go showing it to every editor under the sun. The fags in the publishing industry aren't exactly the most receptive to this sort of thing. So what he managed to do given these limitations is at least commendable, regardless of how you feel about the subject matter or presentation. Ultimately, it's a relatively funny, relatively juvenile work for a niche crowd. No need to analyze it much beyond that.
