Do you stay sober when you write? Do you stick to caffeine? Do you drink, if so, what? Do you smoke weed, cigarettes? Do you snort coke, drop acid, shoot up heroin?
I personally drink coffee, whiskey, and take 20mg of amphetamines.

I smoke a lot of weed during my process. I can drink a little as well about once a week, however the window of inspiration is a lot smaller with booze.

I used to smoke crack, which is impossible to write on.

Reading - couple of beers
Writing - caffeine and nicotine overload

Wish I could still do meth (the ultimate stimulant) but at 30 I'm too old to tolerate that shit.

Meth isn't that strong, adderall will tweak you out more but meth does more dopamine I think. I've never injected but I've smoked it several times in different states.

I cannot read or write while under the influence of anything other than black coffee. Can't even eat.

I get drunk (Scotch and beer, sometimes rum), and smoke like a fucking train when first putting thought to paper on my typewriter. Then I retype the first draft on the computer, and stay completely sober while I write the next drafts. Obviously depends on the piece, but usually it takes me at least three drafts till I feel it's done
