has there ever been a good book with a female lead? after reading thousands of books i decided to stop reading any with a female main character because they all turn out to be shit.

I really like these covers so her and Ayn Rand are the only females I'm going to read.
I tried JK Rolling but it's the same shit every-time, also only one class sucks.
Ah, I'll probably read Simone too, just to say I'm more feminist than college girls.

literally judging a book by its cover

i was talking about characters in the books no the authors

>> No.18367624

It's because the Hero's Journey intuitively doesn't make sense with a female protagonist. Women just don't do cool shit. They don't discover, create or fight in real life so it just feels out of place in fictional stories. They can make great side characters, just not protagonists.

I don't understand why a male author would write a novel with a female protagonist. Why not a man? A bizarre but common choice.
