i have absolutely no idea what other board i can ask this question to and you all seem like smart folks (hehe)

you know how when something could be both singular and a plural and you're not sure which it is in the circumstances for example you write tree(s) because it could be either one tree or more than one but you don't know. well how do i do this for the word guess? is it guess(s) or guess(es)?

I think you have to find another way to write it. Like “guess (or guesses)”

Just write it in a way that the output is different with 1 guess lel. So you write guesses with everything >1 and guess with =1. Anyway it would be guess(es) because the word guesss doesn't exist
