I meet zero women. I don’t need a book to tell me why. I don’t meet them at work, I have only a handful of friends, if that, and I don’t meet them anywhere else really. I also don’t live in a city. I live in a small town with my parents like many of my peers. There’s no girls here. It seems all of my opportunities were lost by the time I left college. I’d imagine it’s similar for many men.

I didn’t even have to detail what I meant. Dating is too expensive. Markers of value are too expensive. Frequenting places for the opportunity are too expensive. Replacements for sexual desire and companionship are cheap. Social media has commodified the need for women to seek attention in person. What’s the point when I can’t afford a house and provide for a woman? What’s the point when a gym and good diet and constant party life style costs so much time and money?
