yea it's weird. The baby becomes the kid that gets eaten from Call of the Crocodile. Don't worry that's not a spoiler. It takes place before that book and seems like a separate story as far as I can tell.
I'm more just taken aback by the general premise of this story. It literally begins with the baby seeing his mom get set on fire at the park by some kind of demon. Actually I'm not even sure if it's a demon. There really doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to this lunacy yet.
