Wonderful read! I was captivated by the narrative, entranced by the imagery, and feel in love with the characters. Though fiction, it reached into our collective consciousness and found our hopes and ideals. Who doesn't like this book? Racists. You see them in the reviews, those who fear black power and sensuality. The kind of people who get angry at righteous riots and vote Republican.

Read this and expand your mind, read it along with White Fragility, another stunning and brave work.

This novel was brilliantly written. Such a powerful prediction of the future . The novel was very creative and deserves an oscar . I felt like I was reading a historical fact than a novel . The characters I felt as tho I know them all my life . A future that many dont like to talk about . But a definite reality. Keep up the great work . And hope to see a sequel to this .
