The only thing 'bad' whatsoever about homescholing is that so few people do it, meaning most kids you'd want your child to interact with are not going to join whatever 'outsider' community you have. But if more people learned freely and independently, then everything would be better. It's like being a housewife in this day and age. Sure, you can do it, but you won't have the neighborhood community of other housewives that existed when this was more popular.
