Let's make a good thread about that particular historical period.
What are the best fiction books about WW1? What are best non-fiction ones?
With what book anon should start his acquaintance with this crucial turning point of human history?

posting ones i've read with rating

>good soldier svejk
solid 9/10, lole out loud at parts

>johny got his gun
10/10 from me. existential horror fuel

>remark's books
ranging from 5 to 7/10 depending on what you're looking for, it's always an easy casual read, sometimes with less essence, sometimes hits you in the feels despite being rather simple

> journey to the end of the night
7/10, mixed feelings. enjoyed it nonetheless

i've probably read some of the more obscure ww1 lit that i cant recall now due to brain damage. cheers
