JR isnt unreadable, you just need to attend to vocal & situational cues to determine who is speaking. Gibbs says "god damned", "damned", "help andcouragement" all the time, Bast's speech is more trailing and obsequious, JR & to a lesser extent the other kids say "like", "this here" & scribble with pencils.

FW clowns on both these in terms of reading difficulty in my opinion. Clarel's just loooong.

The trilogy is what it is because they have enough readership that they get discussed somewhat regularly and have enough loose ends and room for interpretation that there is actual debate about them. Anons will spend a year on this site and see nothing but memeing about them and then suddenly there will be a surge of in depth discussion that is much more than the standard fiction threads on this forum which generally are; Question, Answer, Thanks anon, and not much more. It hooks a good number of anons.

Joyce could probably be taken off, not much discussion on Ulysses anymore, but there is nothing to take it's place for modernism. The Recognitions could possibly get there now that it has been reprinted.

FW does not have a chance, there is no discussion on it, just citations, generally uncredited and passed off as their own thought these days. I would love The Pale King over IJ but people use it's being unfinished as an excuse to not figure it out and understand it. M&D just does not get discussion going about it for some reason which is a shame.

These threads are not about actually designing a new meme trilogy. OP just recently read clarel and he's trying to push it on other anons and for some reason this is the method he decided to use. Finnegans wake is consistently there because it is infamous for being the final boss of literature even though he most likely has not read it, and the second entry is bound to keep changing until one if these charts take off (which won't happen) or OP just gets tired and makes a thread about how this board is shit and how much it got worse over the year, this despite him being a newfag in the first place

I get that, hence my not tagging OP. Many anons have no clue why the meme trilogy is what it is, they come here and see all the memes about it and then ignore the threads on those topics. they miss the discussion and just get angry about it being memed all the time.
