What was your favourite scene?
Mine was the end where Pierre encounters Prince Vasili and forgives him.

Death of Prince Andrei was very good. I wish he saw Pierre one last time after Borodino, but I know it wouldn't have made any sense.

what? i remember no such scene from the book, i think it's from the tv series. i could be mistaken however, it's been a while

on topic, my favourite was prince andrei's death, i almost cried from how beautifully it was depicted. another one was the christmas hunting scene
absolutely top tier comfy literature

Great posts so far, I really liked the duel between Pierre and Dolohkov, didn't expect that outcone desu.
I also enjoyed the part where Tolstoi talks about the battle at Smolensk, Napoleon beeing the wounded beast that just needed to be hurt badly once in a powerful strike. So that it bleeds and that it would die due to the wound...I kept that in mind and saw similar processes in real life - not with hunting but with relationships.

Not my favourite but I always smirk thinking about when Pierre is going through the ridiculous LARP Masonic initiation ritual with the swords and shit and for a brief moment thinks “what the fuck am I doing”
