I live in the southern US in a majority black town, but I'm white.Try not to live in a state of resentment, as I personally see a lot of blacks do. Whatever injustices your people have suffered, playing the victim or activist will not really see any benefit for you in your lifetime. We all deal with privileges and limitations in our lives, everyone has a mix. If you live your life seething over injustice and expect to get affirmative action in your work, schooling, etc., then you will have a bad time. The people that live as victims or social justice activists never really see a benefit for themselves. Don't you think they kind of live off of the negative feelings? Like it gives them a kind of poisonous energy?

Your life might be hard but we kind of have to deal with that shit and take baby steps in the right direction. Try to treat people as individuals and treat yourself with patience and persistence.
