Okay /lit/ be honest. There's not a single prof or lecturer or any kind of person with a degree who would be seen talking about him in the least positively, yet he captures our time so well. Why does the establishment hate him (and post structuralists in general) so much; why are they even called as such, they're post structuralists as in the school of philosophy of the same name but so much more.
I've only ever found the works I read of him (Nomadology, Difference and Repetition, Thousand Plateaus) to be extremely interesting, very accurate and inspiring and both deep as well as easily digestible. The method offered has applicable potential to the real world, and our world current specifically, like no other, and the methods' tools leave much room to be expanded upon in transformation for other environment and situations, though they are already sufficient for what they were created.

There is no reason to decry Deleuze if you've actually read him. Why do they cope so much?!

there are no professors or lecturers who would talk about him because the students they'd be teaching would be dumb as fuck and incapable of putting in the effort to understand him. state school, my friend: cough up that money

I see that. I go to a good school but we still have no courses on anything that is no Aristotle, Plato, Augstin, Kant or Hegel + or - some odd lecture by a prof talking about his or her newest book. I guess you could teach the students, they're sharp enough I reckon, but they're very limited in their scope. They have their one area of study and that's it. They're not interested in the implications of philosophy or what else philosophy might have to offer besides for Kant and XY Neo Kantian talking about theology but also ethics.

If corona wasn't around I'd just hold a seminar myself but alas .. not to be.

I don't know what you're talking about. Deleuze has been vogue in literature and film departments for about 30 years

Of course he won't be covered in analytical philosophy classes

>>18169511
I reckon it is because he's not enough of a systematical thinker

At most you would study Heidegger when it comes to "contemporary" philosophy

Wtf are you talking about? Deleuze has been the flavor of the month for several decades now—thousands of useless papers written, thousands of new trannies minted—, he's one of the most cited thinkers in human history and his fellow post-structuralists have always been in complete accord with him (see Derrida's quote here). You sound like an Anglo university undergraduate who thinks he's stumbled across revolutionary esoteric knowledge, where in reality you've simply discovered the source of the status quo.

Not him. When one writes "no one cares", it's commonly understood, strictly, as "no one who matters cares", which certainly entails you. Everyone including small children are aware that there's always one or two weirdos who care about an obscure topic, and that they're merely exceptions which prove the rule. Your observation is bereft of value.

Cute, but you haven't thought it through because rhetorical internet argument. Firstly, the thing I wrote in that post isn't a "theory", it's a parsing of common knowledge in the use of the English language. Second, I was replying to the above dope >>18169624 who acted as if he had made a useful statement. Third, you are vaguely trying to get outside the argument by confusing its content with your current tack, which doesn't work. It's true that this is an internet retard fight, but my post's truth-content by itself isn't undermined by the simple fact that I'm some anonymous meaningless faggot (true), which is what you're falsely suggesting. Rather, that only applies to the thingy I did above. Why are the circumstances different between my original criticism and the criticism of my criticism? Why am I immune, in this case? BECAUSE I MADE NO LARGER PRETENSE TO THE IMPORTANCE OF MY VIEWS APART FROM THIS RETARD-POST, WHEREAS THE OTHER ANON APPEALED TO "UNIVERSITY/CULTURE" AUTHORITY.

Feel free to whine about all the effort taken just now.

This is my experience as well.
You will not find a single professor who will discuss him. At best you get a bunch of lower lecturers teaching him and students who like to discuss him.
I know Germany likes to avoid a lot of foreign philosophy that is not ancient, but the absolute ignorance of Deleuze in comparisson to the prevalence of Foucault, Sartre is baffling.
