I have decided to work my way through Plato’s works. What are the best secondary sources (books, lectures, podcasts et cetera) that I can supplement my reading with?

None. Just read him.

How could it possibly be a bad thing to get secondary sources on his writing after I have read them and noted down my own reflections on them?

The most enlightening text on Plato i've read. Understands that the question of education is central to Plato and properly situates him in the middle of the transition from preliteracy to literacy which weighs heavily on his critique of the poets because of the fact that they were central to the educational apparatus of Athens. "The People of Plato" is aight too

Have you read Homer? Kind of useful to be familiar with the epics.

Good luck. I recently bought the Complete Works and I'm doing what >>18162041 outlined. It will take a long time, but studying Plato is a lifelong endeavor anyway.

Seth Benardete's works. He autistically analyzes every single sentence. He wrote about 300 pages of commentary on Parmenides.

History of Philosophy without Any Gaps podcast is a good source to listen to first, to get a 10,000 foot view, and then work your way through the books. It will prevent you from getting lost or confused.
