What are good examples of successful, yet offensive books that have been published within the last 20 years?
Who publishes offensive books anymore?
I enjoy the book I'm writing now but I'm concerned it'll never see the light of day because of how many people and groups of people I'm taking shots at.

When "Assisted Living" by Nikanor Teratologen was published in Sweden in 1992, basically the whole journalist choir said that it was the most depraved and disgusting shit they had ever read. However, the language was so clever that they couldn't ignore it and since it was written under pseudonym they speculated that it was secretly written by an established writer. Turns out that it really was this 27-year-old, previously unpublished, dude who wrote it.
