Imagine what philosophy would look like if the Second Aristotle's works survived. This madlad wrote over 700 books, all of which are lost. Just skimming his surviving extracts and much of it anticipates the third Aristotle's works and even Schelling. It really is unfortunate. Couldn't it have been any other way. Was Leibniz wrong? is this actually the best of all possible worlds?

Bro imagine if in some parallel universe the complete works of Chrysippus were preserved and transmitted to Kiev Rus which was then followed by a cultural renaissance called Boзpoждeниe, and then we'd have Aristotle in the West, Plato in Greece, and Chrysippus in Russia, wouldn't that be cool

I can't remember, who said that Leibniz was a hack and we're actually living in the worst possible world?

Voltaire?

That would be interesting to see. But by virtue of being in Russia, it would unfortunately be ignored

You're welcome anon. It is fantastic. Really makes you rethink what the Stoics were actually doing.

I have been practising Stoicism for 1 year now. Wonderful philosophy, one of the best things that happened in my life. I used to be very nihilistic but now I have a different point of view about life.

However I don't call myself a Stoic since that would require to have a definitive line that divides Stoics with non-Stoics.

It's much better than what the typical caricature makes them out to be
