I got myself the German Luther translation. But seeing as you are crossbreed of different ethnicities, I'd go with the following approach. Do you live in America? Go with English. Live in Germany? Go with German. Live in Russia? Russian. If you read the bible in the language of your homeland you will be able to share it's teachings with others. Alternatively, pick the language you are most proficient in.

As far as culturally important Bibles go, KJV in English, Luther in German, and in Russian there are the Synodal or Elizabethan (if you know Church Slavonic). Plus, there are other worthwhile versions (at least in English and German, don't know about Russian).
Read a couple of passages/chapters in different translations, and take your pick. You'll probably refer to the texts in other languages and translations either way.
