how much I hate intellectualism, I listened to a bunch of lectures, I read a lot of non-fiction literature, I watched a lot of debates and it only made my life worse
I stopped being a funny teenager and became a boring man in me there is no poetry, no aesthetics, no special feature, I am a nonentity and nothing will help me in this world

None of that has anything to do with intellectualism. Sounds like you're some of retard more than anything.

This. I used to be obsessed with being "well-read" and being considered an intellectual but I got burned out and depressed. I might never be considered smart or actually smart, but that's ok. Does that mean I stop learning or trying to improve myself? No, it just means that "being smart" doesn't become my only, all-consuming all-encompassing goal in my reading or in my life

He just described intellectualism to a T. Cope.
