Butler, Lacan, Foucault, Derrida.
What does any of their theory have to do with anything? China is building high speed rail and smart cities while US students have their heads in the clouds reading Lacan.
Is it me, or have we placed far too much importance on the Humanities since the end of WW2?

France was a pioneer in high speed trains while Lacan was still teaching and practicing. Your point is moot.

Must also be why Chinese Marxism actually went somewhere.

The problem in universities have been them neglecting the humanities.
