its so difficult to visualize balrog. every depiction has them as some big demon with a black and fiery physical humanoid body, but what i got from the prose is that its more like an amalgamation of literal physically manifested shadow, maybe appearing in a visual medium as a pitch black mist that swallows light or something, mixed with flames, all sort of vaguely shaped in a humanoid form
