I saw Twilight and Philosophy once at a bookstore and opened it up just to see what sort of topics there were. 90% of the essays in these books have nothing to do with philosophy. They're Cracked articles. Borderline incoherent rambling that maybe sounds witty but doesn't cite any sources.

Seriously, check out the free preview to one of these books on amazon. If the essay titles alone don't cause you to cringe into oblivion, the actual contents sure will.

Because you weren't smart enough to think of it first. All your philosophical knowledge will be useless if you don't start to make it giving you money

Popper said that everybody was a philosopher in some way since they had to.solve the same problems
And camus said the only philosophical problem is why one shouldn't kill oneself
Therefore those books are not inherently stupid.

thats not a particularly novel take and I dont know why you feel the need to credit specific thinkers for them when they are pretty common statements.

why not say

>everybody is a philosopher in some way since they have to solve the same problems
>And the only philosophical problem is why one shouldn't kill oneself.
comes off as overly wanting ethos.
