I made that shitty chart. Well, if you want to get into gothic that chart is a mixture of essentials and obscure books. The Castle of Otranto is considered the first gothic novel, you could start with that one. Frankenstein, Dracula, The Monk, Melmoth the Wanderer, Vathek (and its episodes), Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Ann Radcliffe's novels are some of the most popular gothic books and are widely available. Check Valancourt's gothic catalog for more obscure books.
Now, if you really want to get into gothic,. watch The Art of Gothic: Britain's Midnight Hour, and these are some books on gothic (it's all I have).
