17902530 No.17902530 [Reply] [Original]

Using common sense I argue the food chain should apply to us, given the size of our universe. But I see alot of people dismiss me saying "I don't see anyone eating us bro." Do you think a sheep has the capacity to understand how we take it's wool and weave it into cloths? Or a stalk of corn why we harvest it's grain. No way. You may say
"We're different bro we use our brains and shit." Still I say these are living beings, just on a different level awareness.

So that leads me to the question: Will we ever bridge the gap between us and the Gods/Farmers, or are we doomed like animals be ignorant.

what a fucking innane start up.

If you want to argue infinity of scale as a universal abstract thing, thats one thing, but trying to use the idea of food cycle just seems like a miopic pic that would be better served by a less restrictive and more universal statement with less particular implications.

im saying that the use of the term “food chain” is too particular of a statement and carries needless implications and that the core idea would be better served with a more abstract, widely applicable phenomenon.

Also, no one argues that the food chain doesnt apply to us retard. shearing sheep isnt part of the food cycle, the food chain is a particular biological model.

I see what you're saying. I think what I mean by food chain is a "Higher Intelligence" seeing humans as a kind of resource. I'm not saying God/Farmer is malevolent, just as we don't see ourselves as malevolent for farming animals although our methods imo are pretty cruel.

Ah, but my good friend Thrasymachus, you thought that the shepherd as a shepherd tends the sheep not with a view to their own good, but like a mere diner or banquetter with a view to the pleasures of the table; or, again, as a trader for sale in the market, and not as a shepherd. Yet surely the art of the shepherd is concerned only with the good of his subjects; he has only to provide the best for them, since the perfection of the art is already ensured whenever all the requirements of it are satisfied. And that was what I was saying just now about the ruler. I conceived that the art of the ruler, considered as ruler, whether in a state or in private life, could only regard the good of his flock or subjects; whereas you seem to think that the rulers in states, that is to say, the true rulers, like being in authority.

Well, Jesus uses a lot of sheepherding imagery in the NT, and God says that He created us for his own joy, so I guess that there is truth in your observation. But I don’t think that God eats us or uses our skin and/or hair to make stuff.

>Still I say these are living beings, just on a different level awareness.
Plants are live matter; animals, being sentient entities with spirit, mind, and body, are latent subjects of God, therefore, murdering them constitutes sacrilege —a violation of life—, whilst consuming them is just unhealthy, disgusting, and ugly; to base one's ethicomorality on an other's degree of awareness is idiotic, and perverse.

>So that leads me to the question: Will we ever bridge the gap between us and the Gods/Farmers...

1. There is only one God.

2. (Meta)humans are spiritual farmers before they are physical ones.

Job never says this. You seem to have never read the book, are deliberately misinterpreting it or have failed to understand it completely. God let's Satan test Job by allowing Satan to destroy his home, family and property so God and Satan can see Job's faith. Despite the trials Job says:
>The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the Lord.

Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil.(E) 3 In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering(F) to the Lord.(G) 4 And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions(H) from some of the firstborn of his flock.(I) The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering,(J) 5 but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.

Next time Cain should pick the fatty meaty carrots, right? Because seems pretty clearly like god likes “some good fuckin’ meat” better than he likes “some vegetables or whatever the fuck, get this shit out of my face you dumb fucking pissant” that Cain brought him.

Sentience does not necessarily entail free will and thought; you either: ignore what the spirit, and the mind, are, or: are conflating sentience with sapience —or both.

The sheep doesn't understand the how, but it does understand that something is happening, so that's one retarded point. Also, "you're incapable of determining that something is happening to us so you can't deny it's happening" is retarded too. For another thing, farming isn't the only interaction the food chain, flowers aren't farming the sun and wolves aren't farming caribou. There's just so much retardation to unpack here.

>Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”
