I want to read more, but can't seem to focus
I feel so retarded, I used to read a lot when I was younger, but now 10 pages into a book and I want to do something else
how do I improve my focus and get to read more? any of you guys share this problem?

Probably too much phone use. Start meditating.

I was the same way until recently. I've noticed if I read during the day, there is too much going on and it distracts me. Even with no electronics in the room, my cats playing or the wind blowing outside, something will inevitably grab my attention. Especially right now I am reading Dumas and I have to really focus on a lot of the French words to keep stuff straight.

My solution has been to read at night before I go to sleep. I will lay down and instead of turning on the TV or browsing my phone or playing my switch, I will read a few chapters. Everything is nice and quiet, my cats are usually asleep with me. It is very relaxing. And after a few chapters I am usually getting sleepy as well and I find I have been sleeping better too. The only problem is I'm staying up later because I'm so enthralled with the story. Probably need to get to bed earlier to offset this.
