because it is a collection of texts, you shouldn't look at it as a single book, that you should read front to back. you could start anywhere really. but it is a bit repetitive, because he keeps saying the same things.

Hey
I have 50 vignettes left in my spanish copy
However I realized one of the vignettes which I had initially bought the book for is probably missing

Is there a webpage that compares editions and which vignetess are present in each?
Im looking specifically for a longer vignette in which he laments on his loneliness and life while waving at someone from his window I think

Which spanish version did you get? Amazon only has one and it's 30$ and seems shorter than my english versions.

>Seix Barral for some modern stuff and translations, but always page through for printing quality before buying, for example their version of the Book of Disquiet has a printing error.

Found this in warosu

It's not just that. The description of the person at the start of the book (I think it was his neighbor?) got me interested but then the self-pity started.

Why don't you guys just download it for free in English on Z Library?

I think it was a guy in a restaurant. Might have been himself(one of his heteronyms). But I get you.

this is just as retarded as the white guy who falls over himself to apologize to minorities. You’re pathetic. Why would you just insult yourself like this?

Based
The rest of the book is great, maybe even amazing, but the first chapter/text is the most powerful of them all

Any of you guys have felt something similar when reading the book?

Im currently finishing a Spanish translation of Book of Disquiet, Spanish is supposed to be my mother tongue even if my enlighs reading level is much much higher than the Spanish one, I've gone up to Gravitys Rainbow with no problem in English, but I've never gone beyond highschool reading level when it comes to Spanish (so probably Borges at most id say), the thing is that I can only read book of disquiet lying down innbed at night, anyplace else I simply cant make sense of anything I haven't previously read before

Is that something special to the book or is it simply due to my "Spanish"?
