apparently there's an anime, but the opening was so cringe i immediately dropped it.

there was another book i read as a kid, don't remember the name i just got it cause the cover was cool. it was a brother and sister who's family basically took care of a reserve for magical creatures. and they'd go on adventures there dealing with all types of magical shit.

yeah but quality tends to be different too. sometimes you want something unapologetically stupid and basic.
Like some days you want to read about a half angel teenager having sappy teenage love with a his high school crush.

if i read an adult novel you'll almost never get that and writers keep trying to be "mature" when its really just them cramming in the same basic tropes as always.

yeah basically.

plus honestly i feel like the line between YA and adult novels is pretty blurry. There's common trends but I can see a lot of them going either way. The main reason I don't shop for "YA" books is that the prose tends to be more basic and doesn't flow as well. Otherwise if I just cared about themes or ideas I'd gladly pick up a few of them.

There was a series I read as a kid, it was about a pair of twins who learned into magic. Don't remember the name or a lot of the details but I do remember
>one of the early covers had a dragon on the cover (gave me that early dragon on human female fetish)
>their magic language was basically used as a universal language that could talk to anything (including animals/rocks). magic was essentially just asking politely for things to do things for you and they'd just do it
>being twins made them more powerful because resonance or some bullshit.
>later on its started getting more galactic in scale and they were basically doing shit in space with alien magicians too iirc

anyone know it? seraching google for that basically gave me jack shit.

Despite the shitty animu covers, this series was surprisingly well-plotted and had a lot of genuinely new things. The concept of Deliverers has always stuck with me.

In my wildest dreams this would get a high budget animated series but chances are they wouldn't be able to translate all the details of the world and settings into motion on a reasonable schedule

first two series are kino but I could never forgive them for ruining the best couple after that only for the sake of introducing the most annoying MCs. I'm actually amazed that I'm still mad almost 15 years later.

I barely remember anything from this but like you said I do remember some of the action scenes. And something about a drug addiction the MC had to go through

I got these cheap at a book fair when I was about 10 or 11, but never managed to finish the first one
