Descartes at least. Vico is sort of an intellectual contemporary of Descartes despite coming a bit later. He outlines his anti-Cartesian epistemology in "On the Ancient Wisdom of the Italians" which should be read before the New Science. Spinoza is another one you'd want to read. He was arguably the biggest influence on Vico's philosophy of mind.
