Thinking about doing my STEM masters/postgrad at Trinity College specifically because it is /lit/
The idea of being educated in the same place as Oscar Wilde, Bram Stoker, etc. fills me with a bright light.
Also hoping being there will improve my writing and maybe help with getting published.

Has anyone else in /lit/ done something similar. Any book suggestions that somehow relate to this topic?

If you're not from Dublin you're going to be very sorely disappointed. This whole city is full of druggies and Trinity is full of Chinese tourists and Spanish students that make life hell. Not entirely sure about the college itself. Had a friend there that did history there and he said it was full of the biggest prices he's ever seen. STEM might be different tho so idk.

Prices? Like tuition?
I'm assuming that's just another word for blowhards.

It may help you getting published if you know the right people but Trinity kinda sucks; I've known a few people who've gone there and though I don't know any that actually regret it most of the people I know have said it's way overpriced and very unrefined. Still at least you can look at the Book of Kells.

You can go look at the Book of Kells if you're just a public Joe anyway

Are there any other /lit/ school suggestions?
While I went to a public undergrad university I had a Catholic education growing up so I'd like to attend another Catholic institution (As unless I finally get around to getting that English degree my Masters will be the end of my formal education)

Depends on what you judge it by. Trinity is the most well-known and respected university in the country. But places like UCD or UCC take in way more people and have better employment rates as far as I know
