Can you direct me to more literature with QPOC influences? I never see queer people of color unless I directly seek literature from India, South America, Africa ect. And they’re always poorly translated. Do you know any books with poc queer culture? Like cultural identities and stuff, because I’m running out of authors real fast.

If you're genuinely looking for QPOC literature, James Baldwin is the only author that comes to mind. You should know that this is the worst place you can ask that kind of question, Reddit is down the hall to the left and they're much more accommodating to that kind of stuff. If you're just baiting and fishing for (You)s then fuck off

Good recommendation with Baldwin. As far as reddit, I would trust /lit/'s taste over theirs even on a meme topic like this.

I read a book in post-colonial lit class called Funny Boy, set in Sri Lanka during the 1983 riots. The protagonist is gay and fucks another boy by rubbing dicks with him in the garage. There was a black Caribbean guy in the class with me, pretty sure he thought it was funny/gross.

Baldwin is peak Reddit/Twitter. They see his works as something like platonic ideal of all literature.

What do you mean exactly by Reddit/Twitter? Is his prose style not elegant?

>> No.17807688

They completely misread him though. He checks all their intersectional SJW boxes, but they then go on to ignore the massive part of his writing talking about having more in common with white americans than he did black frenchmen.

Oh btw I forgot to mention Native American literature. A ton of native literature features two-spirited people which is a pan-American Indian umbrella term for their version of lgbt identities. The Politics of Fancy Dancing by Sherman Alexie is a really great one.
