You know that they were modernists sine qua non, right?

People ITT are going to rec a lot of the same old pseud edgelords but I'll throw a curveball and rec Joseph Campbell's Masks of God series, in particular the first volume. Had me out in the woods in back of my house dancing around with a deer skull on my head before I'd reached chapter 3.

Most people already live "trad" lives; as in, most people aren't ODing on heroin and having orgies every day, the most "degenerate" thing they'll do is maybe watch porn or go to a party every once in a while.
>b-but muh casual sex
Ironically, people have never had less sex than they're having now.

Having orgies every day is the most trad thing you can do.

You just do it. Ignore everything, find a woman, join a more traditional religious community and have a lot of babies. Just live a moral life, your job is to preserve what you can of civilization and the birth rates among conservatives will take care of the rest.

Well start by first realizing the NSDAP were as much a bourgeois movement as the Communists. They were modern trash.

>Triumphs against the natural order of living exact unforeseen payments. At the same time that man attempts to straighten a crooked nature, he is striving to annihilate space, which seems but another phase of the war against substance. We ignore the fact that space and matter are shock absorbers; the more we diminish them the more we reduce our privacy and security.

Start with Richard Weaver for a unique and not very well known intro.

There's no rejecting post-modernism. It's in all of our blood. You can't reject the post-modern condition anymore than you can reject the language you speak, the land you grew up in, or your genetics. We're all post-modernism, it's just a matter of what flavor of post-modernism you accept. When Evola says "ride the tiger" he's saying to find those potential areas of greatness within post-modernism. Post-modernism is the tiger. You can't reject it, you can only ride it.

There's really only one legitimate way anon, and that is to immigrate and integrate yourself into a pre-digitalized, pre-industrial, non-commoditized, agricultural society. You have very few options, basically just certain parts of rural Central America, West Africa and maybe South East Asia. Goodluck mate, (or just read Deleuze's commentary of Spinozan and Nietzschean ethics to learn how to affirm life in a deterritorialized world

i am very interested in this, does this really work? do you personally know someone who has achieved enlightenment (or, at a bare minimum, retained sanity) by that means?

this guy gets it

going to some remote corner of the world is pretty much impossible for most of us. most of the writers you'll find recommended on this topic came to a similar conclusion. evola's tiger and spengler's roman soldier at pompeii are the same vein.

you'd be surprised how content you can become with life when you start to abandon constant thoughts about politics, sports, modern pop culture or media. and you can do it without being a total autist

Yeah I have found a lot of solace in his ideas. His books are pretty incomprehensible though so you'll need to watch uni lectures on youtube while you read them (these should be easy to find). I've developed a genuine appreciation for postmodern art, architecture, fashion and experimental music since doing so too. It feels good not to be fighting the trends. Conservatism is just too miserable and life-denying for me now.
