Everybody who studies philosophy should study math. Everybody who studies math should study philosophy.

Wow, these few quotes on a book aggregation website from specific philosophers must be in themselves representative of the field of philosopgy as a whole. I'm so smart and educated.

Maybe if you took a chance with Plato, Aristotle, Kant or Aquinas you might begin to understand how philosophy could be considered a deeply meaningful act. Nigger.

TL;DR: Fuck you kys

agreed, university should be structured in a way that all humanities majors must get a STEM minor and vice versa. Would create a much more intelligent society than our current hyper-specialized academic world

It should be required for the best students at every university. Most students should focus on specialization, but the really bright ones should try to get as holistic an education as possible.

Lol, the physicists have sparetime to enjoy philosophy as a side hobby. Good luck finding quotes by Hilbert or Euler.

But what was your point though, that quantum physics are basically a form of philosophy or at least you need some philosophical inclination to get into the field? It's definitely a very weird field with a lot of open questions.

i definitely believe there is a relation between philosophy and quantum mechanics. after all quantum mechanics is just a model made to explain the breakdown of classical physics at extremely low masses and high speeds, how can you not make reference to philosophical questions with things such as superposition and wave-particle duality.
