I guess the best advice I can give you is simply to be true to yourself, and not be someone who you're not. That's what I've learned, at least. In terms of general resources there are academic books, which of course you can find by yourself in libgen, have the size of small baby and reading them is a dry experience that no undergrad, and probably not even a PhD will ever do except for consulting.

And consulting is different from reading to learn, because you have very small objectives and tasks, instead of eating the thing whole. So, one way to go about it is to simply go out there, start classifying plants to at least the genus level and from that point do a small top and down search. That is search the ecological relationship(top) and the biochemical composition(bottom). You would lack the fundamentals of ecological dynamics and biochemistry, but if you are really pasionate about it over time and with curiosity those gaps would be filled enough by simple practice, and by avoiding the ugly parts you would never burn out.

The other way is going through scientific divulgation books. In general, if I were to start with the right mindset: Anything by Brian Goodwill, and more specifically signs of life, it's autistic but it will save you from getting your first impression of biology from the Selfish gene from Dawkins, which I'm not going to say that is wrong but let's say that it should be considered more a point of view than a factbook.

Also, check the theory of living systems. And no, don't go for the 1000 pages thesis, any quick google search of decently sized articles will be enough because it's a very underrated theory and very niche, meaning that the few people that talk about it have the correct idea.

Ernst Mayr for classical history of neo-darwinism and "evolutionary synthesis," Koestler (Beyond Reductivism) is an interesting conference on the nature of holism in biological systems, Dupuy's Origins of Cognitive Science is a good history of cybernetics and systems theories (get the MIT 2009 edition)

Scott Turner is a macro-evolutionist neo-vitalist so may not be everyone's cup of tea but I found this lecture series very helpful, it's fairly new too

How does this work, can anyone apply for an accountancing masters regardless of bachelor or do you need to prove some special interest? It depends on the masters program, some are geared towards students with a bachelors in accounting already, sometimes you CANNOT have a bachelor’s in accounting already, and other times the admissions people are indifferent. I did a program where if you did not have a bachelors in accounting, you just had to take like 4 undergrad prerequisites and then you were fine.

I highly doubt you can get a high end consulting job with a psychology degree unless you are at an Ivy League school. One thing that’s great about accounting is you can get a top tier public accounting job by just going to a good state school, that’s how I did it.
