Hey guys, I'm a none native English speaker and I would like to hear some recommendations of books which reading them will aid to expand my vocabulary vastly. I am already going to read Oscar Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray" - but I would like some more books to add to my to-read-list.

Also, please be it interesting books - and sorry for (if) my bad grammar.

Thanks in advance.

There is a book called "I Always Look Up the Word Egregious" It bills itself as a vocab book for people who already know quite a lot of words, so it doesn't waste space with piddling words most know anyway. Check it out. It helped me learn some fine words.

Oh, did I mention I don't live in an English speaking country? I need books that are old enough so copy-rights no longer apply to them, thus available online.

Thanks anyways! :)

No worries. Thanks anyway! His books are translated to my language though, so I might look into them anyway.

Nice trips too.
