look, i'm getting and MD rn. I can stay up all night making flash cards about pathology and force my eyes open harder when I try to memorize them. But I can't make it 3 minutes with homeless slavic marx before I go nuts and have to listen to someone enunciate words correctly

I think you're mostly discouraged by the fact that you do not understand his argumentation. You do need to have a very high wine intake to understand a vino of his caliber, I myself lived for four years with the Gyspies in Romania and have slowly begun to understand that he starts his argumentation with the conclusion and then works his way from this backwards which is rather alien to English.

Ah, you're a med student. There's your problem.

Half of the time he tends to go on very long digressions that amount to railing against the absurdities of modernity which anyone can do, peppered in with some Hegelianisms. Go back on track for a second and then digress further, his whole act seems based on misdirection, lacking any answers just a lot of postulating a third option when posed with dichotomous problems.

I'm a med myself and have no trouble with continental (just that I don't agree with Hegelian and derivate argumentations)

Did you not expect this when considering the other aspects of the 21st century?

I've never had an issue listening to him or understanding his argumentation.

As another anon pointed out it might just be a cultural barrier which makes it hard for Anglo's to grasp him and think he's just speaking nonsense.
