plato and lao tzu has the same philosophy only expressed differently. buddha is a literal nobody in philosophical comparison

If anyone would read B.F. Skinner in a truthful manner they’d agree he could box them in no problem. Half the time it seems like he has to hold back in what he’d truly like to say in regards to his psychological approach and philosophical outlook.

If we're going to start including religious founders, then Christ would definitely be up there. But just for pure philosophers, I've always felt a similarity between Plato and Lao Tzu, and it's hard for me to choose, but I'd probably have to go with Plato just for personal reasons.

Socrates. Only because he's really just a skillful troll and tricks his debate opponent into reasoning through how their argument is wrong in the process of trying to prove it.
He was also a god-tier arguer. Since no one knows everything, and different people know different things each of which has validity, it's not how much you know as a sheer quantity that counts. It's how you organize what knowlege you do have into a good argument or counterargument.

the sensible world is a shadow cast by the world of forms, in which the form of good somehow preceeds all others. In daoism, this form of good is the dao, all forms stem from the dao, and at the bottom of the barrel we have perceived world - a mere shadow. There are alot of other similarities, but this sums up the gust of it. I can also note that both lao and plato thought the simple farmers society was the ideal one, but plato thought it to be impossible; hence the republic
