I'm feeling nostalgic for Old Star Wars and would like to ingest some new material instead of once again rewatching the movies and replaying the games I grew up. But I remembered there's still a shitton of SW books out there and I'm wondering if they're worth reading since I heard they're a really mixed bag. I'm interested in the continuation of Luke's story in particular, plus some Chewie stories if he ever got any.

The newer Thrawn series is decent, written by the same writer.

Vector Prime and Dark Tide: Onslaught are good to go after Thrawn Trilogy, they're written well, they introduce new interesting enemies instead of The Empire and Dark Tide: Onslaught has Luke kicking ass.
