I'm going to learn how to code so I can develop my own programs to plan and manage my studies, notes, reviews, reading lists, and to create databases for knowledge and entries for authors, topics, etc. Do you guys know of any books or methods about learning, memory and knowledge organization I should be familiar with so I can do all of that effectively.

Yes, there are programs for that and definitely it would be counterproductive to build such a database from scratch.

What you should be learning is relation(ship) logic and logical mathematica so you can use those programs as they were intended.
