Read up on the Indo-Europeans, for example The Horse The Wheel and Language by Anthony.
Georges Dumezil has written many books on comparative Indo-European mythology.
Evola (Revolt Against the Modern World) and Eliade (Sacred and Profane, Myth of Eternal Return) are useful for understanding pagan / traditional metaphysics.
Read "pagan" literature such as Homer, Virgil, the Eddas, Beowulf, Celtic myths.
Emperor Julian's Against the Galileans has pagan arguments against Christianity and is very entertaining as well.
Watch Survive the Jive.

There's some evidence to suggest that Arthur Desmond, the author who wrote Might Is Right under the pen-name "Ragnar Redbeard", was indeed a Jew. There's some theories that it was actually Jack London, however. In any event, the author was a radical socialist and penned the text to advocate for their anarcho-communist beliefs, which are firmly rooted in Christian Progressivism. Both Arthur Desmond (an Aussie) and Jack London (an American) were anarcho-communists and Christian Progressives, and both swung between atheism and radical Christianity as a defense of their political views.

It’s him and his whole sphere of internet rightist “neopagans”. He also fancies his sort of paganism as having some sort of Traditional and theological origin but it just factually does not. I’m not going to go into a long diatribe against the guy but he just doesn’t seem to understand a lot of things, even he does know his pagan history well. And to be clear, yes, I will admit that I have certain affinities to what we’ll refer here to as “paganism” so it’s not outright attack on him solely because he’s a pagan but it just doesn’t do anyone any good to present yourself as an authority on something espousing views which are basically nonsense. Semitic religions are a good coping mechanism though. You end up cucked by scripture whenever you need to act like a man.

I have a very limited knowledge of Christianity, but I always thought that Catholicism was the basic form of Christianity. But while the tradition is admirable, isn't the whole idea behind the pope and all a form of idolatry? I feel like Protestantism is more inline with the bare bones nature of Christianity that it set out to be. Just because a tradition is old doesn't make it necessarily more correct.

>> No.17603390

>>17603359
No. Protestants say that but the pope is basically just a religious ruler. He’s supposed to be the Vicar of Christ but he’s not God or a God. The problem with Protestants it’s what is actually heretic. They interpret scripture in a way that is largely political, not theological. You can commend their focus on scripture but the fact is that scripture is and always was merely one part of the greater whole that is the Holy Tradition. Catholics also recognize this but unlike Orthodox grant primacy to scripture. Orthodox believe in neither sola scriptura nor prima scriptura.

Disregard everything else in this thread OP. Then disregard your question about paganism. That is not the answer.
You must not appropriate any existing ideas. These are authored by others. They are not your own.
Spend time alone with no distractions, preferably in nature, but your room (with no computer, TV, phone on) will do.
Meditate. Or if you prefer, just relax and think. Do this daily. Think about the universe and your place in it.
You will find that you believe certain things as an individual and that those beliefs are right. You have a spirituality within you. I promise it will be rewarding to pursue it and to open your mind to it.
You may be surprised at what you find. Good luck.

The reign of Pilate over Judea had riled up the jewish population and when the jews brought Jesus to Pilate there was a significant threat of them revolting again, as they had a number of times before. (Barabbas for example is said to have been captured in a riot against roman authority). Not wanting to spark another revolt, Pilate acquiesced to the jews and executed Jesus. Pilate did attempt to convince the jews of Jesus' innocence as he realized the accusations were most likely false, although the jews refused to accept any sort of counter-evidence, and were unable to come up with any evidence for their own case against Jesus. Pilate then offers a crowd of Jews a choice between freeing Jesus, or Barabbas, who is described as a 'notorious criminal', implying that he was known as a troublemaker of sorts. In the end, the jews free Barabbas and Pilate washes his hands, in a symbolic representation of him cleansing himself of the blood of Jesus Christ.

This is what the bible claims at least.

"christianity is a jew worshipping religion" is an angle that the devil uses to steer politically redpilled people away from trusting Christ alone as their saviour.

the bible teaches replacement theology, that the physical nation of Israel was replaced with the spiritual nation, and that the Christians are God's chosen people, not those Christ rejecting people that call themselves jews.

Why so many wiccas accidentally get themselves hurt is because they didn’t know what the fuck they were doing. Find a pagan practice that fits you best, it’ll be stronger if you have any ancestors tied to it and go from there.
