Sylvia hughes reads my highschool poetry was 10x better. Its decent but the sheer whinyness and grovelling of it turns a nigga off any time.

I read Wikipedia articles about philosophers and introductions to philosophy, but never read any philosophers source material. I still pretend I know what I'm talking about and will tell others to read x.

My second date went alright. After dinner we went to my place to watch a movie. We didn’t kiss or fuck. But I did ask if I could have her socks. She laughed. Then she kicked off her shoes and removed her socks and balled them up and lofted them into the air at me. I brought them to my noise and, with extreme conviction, inhaled their essence.

I couldn't get into the LOTR books even though I thought the movies were fun. I appreciate the insane amount of effort Tolkien put into the world, but you don't have to include the genealogy, history, and minutia of every hobbit and troll. I got about 150 pages into FOTR before realizing I didn't like it. It's like one big info dump

Nothing to confess there. Evola is legit based only the threads here get turned to shit regularely.

>>17595047
unironically it gets way better dude, i got fucking bored as fuck by the first 150 pages too, just stick with it. helms deep and the run up to it is megakino, as is the mines of moria. the lore without story is a massive tire, which is what you experience at the start. but when the story starts, the lore absolutely drags you in like nothing else, it really got me super invested into the storyline - after that i couldn't resist reading into the world on its own, like the appendices and the silmarillion.

as for my own confession... LOTR and Tolkein's works are the only "serious" books ive ever read.

I spent the past few months reading heavier/longer/classical fiction and philosophy and when I finally relapsed into my favorite habit of schlocky GW novels (this time being the dark future book route 666 which I highly recommend, its hilarious and offers some pretty funny political commentary) and I really enjoyed myself. I read a little bit of poetry, harassment architecture and my diary desu after and now I'm going back to cool memories by baudrillard. I can't wait to finish it and then nomadology so I can read the second black company trilogy.

I read Osamu Dazai on a whim because of shitty anime and I really enjoyed his writing. Both of his books that I was able to get where I live are delightfully written and I was able to read them both in a weeks time. Haven't been this invested in a book in ages. He's single handedly gotten me re-invested in reading and writing.

I can't bring myself to read the Second Part of the Critique of Pure Reason, the Doctrine of Method. I don't want this dude to repeat himself all over again with his retarded space-time reliant philosophy since I spoiled myself with spacetime independent physics. Gosh what a stupid poop eating primitive monkey. Big-headed autistic pretentious Protestant. Gosh it would be so nice to be his servant so I could choke him out when he couldn't get out of bed. Man I hate so much the ideologies of 1800-1950 Western "intellectuals". Stupid boojy "yo bro that's slave morality" fucktards I EAT SHITS LIKE YOU FOR BREAKFAST. I'll ressurect the Crusaders that sacked Constantinople and send them loose on Harvard's philosophy department and stick my Frankish sword up Steve Pinker's fuckhuge nose. "I fucking love science" fuck off you squishy Psych major Rick and Mortards you don't love shit, not life, not women, not God, and certainly not science.

So yeah Father, please forgive me for I have sinned.

Who's sylvia plath?
Sylvia hughes writes great poetry, but ted hughes is far better and plath is at her best in the most formal of her poems (apart from fever 103 and words). The colossus is consistently fantastic but ariel is really hit or miss.
