They don't reply because it's a vapid criticism that has already been refuted a thousand times before. The man is clearly arguing in bad faith. Everyone knows Christ personally established His Church Himself through Peter. There was none of this "gathering around the dead body" in order to establish the institution after the fact. This happened with the Buddha, I don't know about Lao, but not Christ. Why OSHO would make such an obvious error, I don't know.

expand your consciousness, friend. It's your birthright. Maybe you're right, maybe there is some limit for us with respect to god, but we can go very far even with our limited consciousness.

I am convinced this is the divinity sages like Jesus spoke of. To merely tell someone "love thy neighbor".. is not very effective. We cannot control our feelings like that. But when we elevate our thoughts to the divine, many things are possible.

>>17593049
I see. Well it's a this point that we need to exercise our discernment. To what degree do you believe in the bible literally? Do you believe in the flood and all of those things, for example? All the little self-contradictions.. We must read the Bible with reverence, yes, but with the understanding it was written (and edited!) by men. Mortal, fallible men.
And perhaps more importantly: Men from a very different place and time. Even notions of "literal" and "allegorical" were not thought of in that same way we do today.

But regardless, the materiality of Jesus's flesh shouldn't be the main point. We know that even He had need to clear his mind and elevate his consciousness to maintain his connection to the divine. This is what he is doing when he spends 40 days in the desert. Tempering his mind against the last remaining temptations of Maya.
This we can all do. And we should all do. Modern Christianity is too obsessed with "praising" Jesus, and not enough in practicing the things he practiced!

To say two things are one "εν" doesn't mean they're numerically identical, even Calvin and James White recognize that verse is not a statement of numeric identity (otherwise he could have used the word εις, said they were "one ousia," or something similar) but a statement of unity in purpose - in that they share the same will or plan due to Christ being obedient to the Father in all things. See Jn 17:22 ("that they may be one, even as we are one") and 1 Cor 3:8 ("Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one"). The preposition εν is used idiosyncratically in the NT and LXX due to the influence of Semitic idiom, so Jesus isn't saying they're literally spatially inside one another or something. For instance see Mt 17:12, Jn 3:21, 11:10, 14:30, Rom 16:6, 1 Cor 7:39, 14:11, 15:18, 2 Cor 2:12, 13:4, Gal 1:16, 1:24, 3:14, Eph 6:21.

I actually agree with your conclusion but your reasons are bad, and this is because εν and εις both literally mean the same thing when they have a rough breathing mark. There's over 20 different ways of saying "one" in Greek and which one is used depends on the context of case, gender, and number. You can't just point to the different ways the indefinite article is expressed and act like that means anything in itself because it doesn't.

All of you except for the guy who quoted john10:30 and Koineman are pretentious fools who think they knew more about Christianity than the Apostles, true crossbearers who paid the ultimate price. The head of the Twelve, St. Peter states in 2 Peter 3:14-18 that St. Paul wrote only Good News. While St. Paul and the Twelve had their disagreements on the covanents, they resolved them. There was no heterodoxy among them. Yet here we are two thousand years later with people still following the lies of old churches that required correction by St. Paul. Christ warns us of the pseudoprophets whose ideologies bear bad fruit but you're all pigs stuffing their faces with it. Has your personal gnosticisms enriched your lives? I have never listened to this Osho man but from a Wikipedia glance he looks like another Deist fool. A hedonist who's turn on is coincidentally Christian virtues with a mix of sexual deviancy. Your dumb demiurge will never fulfill your metaphysical thirst. By never """"repressing"""" your bad habits you will lead a worldly life, since those habits are borne of our material animal brain. To even assume your soul has some permanent state and that you know what it looks like is an insult to your own free will. Repent in Christ, because God loves and forgives more richly than any mortal man.

No. The Bible is a part of the Holy Tradition and Word of God Himself. If you want to make this argument you could make it doubly so for Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, or literally any other religion. So if we even accepted what you said, you’d render all spiritualism incoherent nonsense and the spiritual critique of Jesus as nothing more than a spiritual man wouldn’t even make sense. He WAS the Word. He WAS with the Father in the beginning. It is really that simple.

These pseudo-spiritual gurus and those who follow them are just sad.

>Modern Christianity is too obsessed with "praising" Jesus, and not enough in practicing the things he practiced!
Idiot. That is exactly what you see in the Catholic and Protestant churches which led to their demise. They have no theoria in their Church. The goal of Christianity is union with God, not the moral arms race you want it to be. Jesus Christ was the Word of God incarnate on earth in flesh. Jesus Christ IS God and hence why he is worshipped. We worship God.
