I recently started subtitling these lectures from 1975 in english. May be of interest to someone, I think some things still hold great relevance today.

There's more to come, there are almost 12 hours from that year (I'm up to lecture 5 now, have uploaded 3 so far), also trying to locate the student who shot this (Marielle Burkhalter) to see if a beter copy exists. Apart from that, I'm planning on translating evarything I can come by, suggestions and links to other videos I might not know of are very welcome.

No, that's reductive, and there's lots of things you can do with words. It didn't take Austin to point this out, but he was helpful. Early on in Philosophical Investigations Wittgenstein asks us to imagine a simple language which is only commands. You're on a construction site, and the users of the language a foreman and a laborer. The foreman says one of four words (slab, girder, etc) and in each caes the laborer understands the word to be a command. Wittgenstein then says (sort of) the obvious thing, that this is a very crude and impoverished language which is missing a lot.
