The book itself isn't worth buying. Go through the list online and look at the books individually to see which ones look interesting. That's usually what I do.

American Psycho is amazing if that’s what you mean. I will say it’s one of the few books that might be better as an audiobook. Otherwise, the long descriptions of outfits is a common turnoff.

I've been looking at the list again and I realized that, despite all the obvious choices sprinkled among what seems to be the guy's personal reading no one really heard of, I can't see a single book from Arsène Lupin series.
You'd think that poster boy for gentleman thief trope and inspiration for one of the most popular anime would be there with at least one title.
Makes me wonder... how popular is Lupin really among the reading crowd?
Fantômas is there, as another representative of the trope, yet Fantômas movies have outgrown books in popularity, and even that was many years ago.
