What's its significance?
Evola seems to grapple onto it without highlighting at any length what it means. Is it just a verbal affirmation of the hero's strive towards enlightenment, or proof that he is the one that will fulfil his end of the quest with the Wounded/Fisher King?

Reccomendations on other Grail analyses/Arthurian critiques would be greatly appreciated

Evola is crap. Jung's wife wrote a book on the grail legend that goes really deep, would recommend that.

I'm actually giving you a recommendation on the analysis of the grail legend that is both thorough and esoteric unlike Evola who is just shilling fascism even when he pretend to do something else.

have you read his grail text? its very much absent of those political overtones

Some of it and it was quite political.

Take the Emma Jung rec or not, I'll just recommend you do something less degenerate with your life than becoming a fascist.

so you can't answer my primary question concerning the actual symbol, and you're giving me a reccomendation as a counter to what i'm currently reading based on "i read a bit and it seemed political"

seems legit. i'm sure you have a better reason for your reccomendation than "jung's wife wrote it"

he continuously alludes to it, implying it is another test of their determined worth for the final part of the quest or for their heroism, but he hasn't elaborated on why the "question" specifically is so important.
maybe that's just all there is to it but it feels like there should be more

The grail represents the element of water, like the cups in tarot. It represents the vagina and the feminine. A man's quest for the grail involves maturing his anima archetype and finding his partner.

>> No.17556345

>>17556280
Though the quest doesn't always end in getting a partner, it often ends with the restoration of a fallen kingdom, or of a spiritual enlightenment that leads to an ascetic life

the first post isn't, Evola rejects psychoanalysis for the most part, though does refer to that "gynocentric" quest in passing, and does treat the male female union as essential to a true hero

That book is a bit blurry for me, but if I recall correctly the Grail symbolises the transcendence itself. So yes, it would be a symbol for enlightenment.

Any mention of "male female" union is entirely symbolic and refers to the union of the male and female spiritual principles (Spirit and Life). This union represents the awakening of Spirit in mere Life (i.e. human beings). It's not "gynocentric" at all.
