I was a keen follower of his from 2015-2019, and have never been a Marxist or a Post-Modernist. That being said, he really doesn't do either subject any justice. The only Marxist notion he ever discusses is economic equality (which if you've read Marx you will know is only a small portion of what Marxism is). As for Post-Modernsim, he doesn't seem to understand that most PoMo thinkers regret the fact that our society has succumb to the postmodern condition, and they lay the blame of this degeneration at the commodifying mechanism of capital. How can somebody claim to be knowledgeable about Marxism and social issues if they don't discuss the fact that Capitalism has alienated young men, dissolved the family unit, ruined our ability to make sense of history/philosophy.

But they haven't really that's the thing. Western prog social-democrats today are really not very Marxist in their approach. They only borrow they most dogmatic aspect of Marxism (its insistence on economic equality). Marx didn't even believe in equity himself. Peterson should not have helped reduce his entire thought into muh equality by claiming that all progs nowadays are Marxists (they're not).
