What are the main outcomes of phenomenology?

I've read a bit about the field and I still don't see what they've gained from studying the structures of consciousness other than a classification.

Heiddi caused what is sometimes referred to as the Hermeneutical shift of Phenomenology, which ended up ruining it almost entirely. Only Merleau-Ponty came back close enough, and even then, wasn't methodical enough.
To find good Phenomenology of Phenomenology-adjacent books you have to dig into stuff like Adolf Reinach, Brentano, Meinong, William James, etc...

Merleau-Ponty has a sizable impact in varied psychological fields, art, music, and AI research. Phenomenology is so incredibly based that I could run out is space listing how great it is, and it’s uses.

To me I see consciousness as being able to sense the outside world through some combination of sight, sound, touch and smell; being able to interpret these sensations into a coherent representation of their environment; being able to act upon those representations; and being able to reflect upon it.

It turned phenomenology away from an analytical science into esoteric anthropology.
