there will be a time in the future when all philosophy and psychology will be considered useless and archaic. neuroscience and further advances in physics will just make them completely obsolete. Plato will be just seen as a literary relic rather than someone to be studied and taken seriously. the only branch of philosophy that will probably survive is the political one (the worst one), but even that could probably be made useless too.
how does /lit/ cope?

It will probably take decades if not even more. We literally have no clue how the brain processes information, stores memory, understands casuality, etc. You might think it can be explained by computer comparisons, but not really. The parrarel processing like you see in the brain can't be done with a computer so far we know. You seriously underestimate how difficult it is to do this. Although I don't understand the appeal of learning philosophy if we know we Have better ways of reaching some answers.

fMRI is garbage. Neuroscience is built on fMRI results. It remains a field for brainlets of STEM.
Philosophy and psychology are at least useful to the corporate overlords for their ability to produce genuine results through advertising, ideology, and propaganda.
Neuroscience's results remain vague, it actually hasn't produced anything useful yet.
Neurology on the other hand is incredibly useful and saves thousands of lives daily.

Exactly, key word "some" answers. Philosophy covers many aspects that science doesn't cover. Science is just a method of acquiring information but it's meaningless in itself to the point where you have a field of study like Philosophy of Science, to understand its implications.

Anyway, consider that tech corporations are able to track people from their literal conception. They are able to identify when their users get pregnant and can anticipate a child coming. Then they track how the parents feel while raising the child, and soon the child joins the web and they can track him as he grows. For millions of new lives around the world.

There will absolutely be enough data to work out the neuroscience to solve questions about human nature, rendering most philisophy as arbitrary guesswork.

I do not think philosophy will ever die, only revert to something more primordial as if in response to the new religion of science.
I largely believe this is where the New Age movement and pushing of spiritual pyschedelics recieves staying power from the 'establishment' as a useless and disarming surrogate to what would arise if it did not take up the seat alotted. This would not be some Traditionalist TRVDVTVN meme or TradCath LARPing in a movement or anything like that, if anything they too are compromised, if indicative precursors, to the roiling metaphysical soul turning over in its slumber. What it would be would not be Guenon or Spinoza or Hegel, perhaps not even Augustine or Bruno. It would be deeper. Trismestigos, Christ, Pythagoras and Amun Ra rising from the East, Enoch and Zoroaster. A picture of the old being not reborn in a new cycle, but resurrected like Lazarus with matronly, heartfelt weeping at the dark night of the spirit, and the patron command to move the stone away to make way for the reformed Alchemical Man.
If there is to be anything, it would be as this.
